Brock Boeser, a Calder Trophy favorite, had to crawl off the ice Sunday night after taking a shot to the foot.
The Vancouver Canucks rookie was hit in the left foot on a shot from Calgary Flames defenseman Mark Giordano and immediately dropped to the ice in pain. He couldn't stand and went to the bench on his hands and knees.
The November rookie of the month didn't return to the game.

Boeser leads all rookies with 30 points, one ahead of the New York Islanders' Mathew Barzal. His 17 goals are five ahead of the Arizona Coyotes' Clayton Keller and Chicago Blackhawks' Alex DeBrincat.
No update from Coach Green on Boeser's injury. "It's another challenge, that's for sure."

Coach Travis Green had no update after the game, though Boeser was seen on crutches, per the Associated Press.
After being a healthy scratch the first two games, Boeser played on a line with Sven Baertschi and Bo Horvat. Both of those players are on injured reserve.
Sunday's 6-1 loss dropped Vancouver, playing better than expected, to .500. The Canucks are four points out of a playoff spot and look like they could be missing their leading scorer for a while.
