MARGAO: The
Shadow Council for
Margao (
SCM) has taken exception to the "indefinite" extension in the duration of the Holy Spirit feast fair.
"The fair which was supposed to be held for seven days has today completed 11 days with no action forthcoming from the
MMC. While the contractor is busy making money out of the municipal land allotted to it for the fair, 25 councillors are under the cloud of doubt over their stoic silence,"
Savio Coutinho, convener of SCM, said in a press note.
The SCM has also expressed its disapproval over the MMC's failure in making any provision for parking and toilet facilities at the fair.
