Two persons were killed while a woman sustained serious injuries in two different road accidents involving two-wheelers in Kochi on Saturday night. The deceased have been identified as Immanuel Antony Fernandez, 23, of Thevara and Dilshad, 25 of Kasaragod.
Fernandez, an employee with an IT firm at Kakkanad, was killed when his two-wheeler collided head-on with another two-wheeler near Pathadippalam near Edappally. The youth sustained severe head injuries in the accident and died later at a hospital. The woman, who was riding pillion, is undergoing treatment at a hospital.
Dilshad, who was employed with an apparel designing unit in Kochi, was riding a two-wheeler when a speeding KSRTC bus hit him from behind. Though Dilshad was rushed to hospital, he was declared brought dead. The body will be released to relatives after post-mortem, the police said.
