Salman Khan's much hyped project 'Tubelight' which portrayed the love between brothers in the back-drop of the Indo-Sino war tanked at the box-office to everybody's shock.
'Tubelight' promised the audience to bring some uniqueness to the screen, given that it was an Eid release and audiences looks forward to Bhai film on Eid. But their excitement met a boring consequence and majority pf people did not like the film.
Also, Salman Khan decided to pay back to the distributors who suffered heavy losses.

Another huge dud from the 'Badshah of Bollywood' himself. 'Jab Harry Met Sejal' was a much anticipated film of a much loved on-screen couple SRK and Anushka.
They came up with unique promotion ideas and introduced the concept of mini trails but the story of the film somehow did not appeal to the audience.
Imitiaz Ali's 'Jab Harry Met Sejal' also became the lowest SRK opener in recent years.

'Simran' opened amidst numerous on-going Kangana Ranaut controvesies. Audience and critics speculated that the Hrithik-Kangana controversy will help the film shine.
But turned out that one of the highest paid actresses of recent times Kangana's much awaited film based on true life events, failed badly at the box-office and this was Kangana's second consecutive flop after 'Rangoon.'

Another dud from an ensemble of great actors and director. This Vishal Bharadwaj directorial did not keep to the standard of his other movies.
Saif Ali Khan, Shahid Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut delivered stellar performances but the story emerged as the culprit and it became one of the biggest flops of the year.

Vidya Balan, who is considered a one man army and a hitmaker has failed to shine since 'Kahani 2.' 'Begum Jaan' was the Hindi retelling of Srijit Mukherji's Bengali 'Rajakahini,' which was a massive hit.
Srijit took on board a plethora of thespians but that could not save his boat from drowning. Critics also felt that this was Vidya's one of the weakest performances till date.

'Jagga Jasoos' was Anurag Basu's dream project which kept getting delayed, but when finally released couldn't create the magic that the audience were expecting.
'Jaaga..' is a typical Anurag Basu film with Ranbir giving a stellar performance as expected. The concept of a 'musical' did not seep into people's mind who thought that the film bored them.
