2017 has certainly been an eye-opener for makers and superstars of Bollywood. The year has proved that the audience will reject a film if it fails to impress them, despite big names. Tubelight is the biggest example of that since it became Salman Khan‘s first flop film in the last seven years. In fact, other big films like Jab Harry Met Sejal, Jagga Jasoos and Rangoon also fall in the same category. They had star power but didn’t manage to strike a chord with the audience. On the other hand, small budget films with strong content have found their place in the hearts of the audience. These films not only received rave reviews from critics but also made their mark at the box office. (Also Read: Hansal Mehta expresses his grief on Newton crashing out of Oscar’s race)
