A reckless driver has almost collided head-on with two police motorcyclists in the Adelaide Hills.
South Australian police released dashcam video supplied by a motorist who filmed Saturday’s incident.
The driver involved in the near miss was identified and is expected to be reported for dangerous driving.
The video shows two motorbikers carelessly fail to keep left of the marked dividing line and cross on to the other side of the road.
Then a speeding grey car does the same, narrowly and avoids a head-on collision with two police motorcyclists.
The incidents came just one day after South Australia launched a summer driving awareness campaign - Operation Safe Holidays - designed to reduce deadly crashes.
Superintendent Anthony Fioravanti, the officer in charge of the SA Police traffic support branch, said: “This footage shows motorists who were seconds away from collisions that could have had a devastating impact for themselves and the other drivers in the area.”
Police say two motorcylists and two car drivers would be facing legal consequences as a result of their driving on Saturday.
