| | SONEPUR | in Bhubaneswar

At his age when everyone has been enjoying life withfriends and families, this ill-fated youth has been leading a cursed life inside home.

The 26-year-old youth, who has been living miserably for last six years with a tumour in his brain, on Friday sought help from all quarters for his treatment.

Chamrulal Sethi, son of late Purna Chandra and Jasoda Sethi of Tikripara in Sonepur, had developed the tumour at the age of 19.

According to reports, Chamrulal is suffering from tumor since 2011. In a single room, Chamrulal along with his three sisters and mother are staying. For sustenance, Jasoda is working as a domestic help in different homes.

The family took Chamrulal to various hospitals in Subarnapur, Sambalpur and also Burla. However, he didn’t get any relief and rather the tumour increased day by day.

The doctors in Burla confirmed about the tumour in Chamrulal’s brain and advised them to go for a surgery. The cost of the operation would be nearly Rs 3 lakh, doctors said. As they belong to BPL category, they couldn’t afford the treatment and returned home.

Not just that, ignorance and illiteracy have prevented them from seeking help of the district administration.
