Malaysia's unemployment rate held steady in October, figures from the Department of Statistics showed Monday.
The jobless rate came in at 3.4 percent in October, the same rate of increase as in September.
In the corresponding month last year, the rate was 3.5 percent.
The number of unemployed people fell to 508,800 in October from 514,500 in September. A year ago, the jobless figure totaled 511,700.
The labor force participation rate came in at 68.0 percent in October, up slightly from 67.9 percent in the prior month.
The seasonally adjusted jobless rate also remained unchanged at 3.5 percent.
