Ctg city BNP vice-president Mohammad Ali dies

Chittagong city BNP vice-president Mohammad Ali passed away at a hospital on Sunday night.

The 56-year-old BNP leader breathed his last at National Hospital in Mehedibagh area of the port city around 8pm where he had been receiving treatment for last 15 days for liver diseases.

He will be buried at Hazrat Garib Ullah Shah Mazar here after the namaz-e-janaza at Jamiatul Falah Jame Mosque after Zuhr prayers, reports UNB.

Earlier, his body will be kept BNP's Kazir Dewry office for two hours from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm to place wreaths by people from all walks of life, including party leaders and activists.

He is survived by wife, two daughters and two sons.

BNP standing committee members Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Abdullah Al Noman , former foreign minister Manjur Morshed Khan, City BNP president Dr Shahdat Hossain, general secretary Abul Hashem Bakar expressed their deep shock at the death of Mohammad Ali.
