Gujarat Assembly Election results are being declared today.

Radhanpur Constituency ID is 06016. One of the key constituencies in Gujarat, BJP's Nagarji Harchandji Thakor is the sitting MLA here now.

This year, main contestants are OBC leader Alpesh Thakor, who recently joined Congress, and BJP's Solanki Lavingji Muljiji Thakor.

ALPESH THAKOR VS LAVINGJI THAKOR

Alpesh Thakor is the convener of Gujarat Kshatriya Thakor Sena and OBC SC ST Ekta Manch. He joined the Congress ahead of Assembly poll. Alpesh is contesting from Radhanpur seat in Patan district because of sizeable Thakor, Muslim and Dalit votebase here.

Alpesh Thakor shot to fame after he launched a counter-agitation against the Hardik Patel-led Patidar reservation movement. During his counter-agitation, Alpesh established himself as OBC leader in Gujarat.

Alpesh is up against Lavingji Thakor of the BJP. Lavingji is a turncoat who switched overnight to the saffron camp after the Congress denied him ticket. Both Alpesh and Lavingji are Koli Thakor.
