Boxers grab three golds, one silver in St Lucia

Guyana’s quartet of boxers finished with three gold medals and a silver medal at the Caribbean Development Boxing Tournament which concluded on Saturday night in St Lucia.

According to reports out of the Eastern Caribbean island, Keevin Allicock (bantamweight), light welterweight Colin Lewis and middleweight Desmond Amsterdam won their bouts in the finals of their respective weight classes when the curtain came down on the four-day fixture.

In the third annual edition of the tournament, Joel Williamson lost a close decision to 2014 Youth Commonwealth Games bronze medalist Michael Alexander in their lightweight contest…..
