DUBAI: A farmer who abused two schoolboys on various occasions after threatening to frame them and publicise their explicit photos and videos must spend ten years behind bars.
The Asian man, 24, raped H, 12, and R, 16. He exploited R to photograph H, made and stored explicit child content, misused his phone, blackmailed and assaulted the duo. He then directed H to rob his father.
At night, H scoured his father’s trousers and robbed Dhs1,500 from his wallet. On Jan 29, the father detected the theft. He suspected H. On being confronted, H narrated the details of his predicament.
The farmer repeatedly abused the teens under the cover of dense trees in Nad Shamma Park, according to their complaints at Rashidiyah Police Station, prosecutors told the Criminal Court.
During court questioning on May 10, he contended: “It was upon their consent. They also allowed me to photograph and record them. But I deleted all the content.” Investigators seized 11 photos.
The Criminal Court sent him to spend ten years behind bars to be followed by deportation. He appealed the ruling begging for mercy. The Appeals Court has trashed his clemency plea.
In prosecution records, he befriended R for four months at a park behind their parents’ home in Rashidiyah. In December 2016, he called him inside his car and asked him for an affair for a reward of Dhs20.
R refused and tried to get out. He seized him. The park was dark. He threatened R that he had connections with royals and would frame him into a theft case or bring a gang to sodomise him.
He took R in the midst of trees in Nad Shamma Park and abused him. He later abused him on five separate occasions. He would threaten him into undressing, punch his head and slap his face.
He would pay him between Dhs30 and Dhs40 to buy his silence. Once he recorded him, threatening to frame him and publicise the explicit video. He later sent him to photograph H.
Similarly, the convict threatened H that he would publicise the photos or hire a gang to sodomise him. He took him within trees in Khawaneej, threatened him, punched his mouth and abused him.
He then photographed him. He later abused him on five separate occasions around 9pm then once within dense trees in Nad Shamma Park under threats to publicise the photos and videos.
An Emirati lieutenant said the farmer acknowledged having been in the habit of abusing both boys under threats. Another lieutenant said both schoolboys said they initially failed to report, because they feared him.
A sergeant said the farmer contended that both suspects consented to the affair in return for cash and that he photographed and recorded them after abusing them, because he wanted the content for personal use.
