Here's how the NFL playoff picture looks heading into Week 15's Sunday games.

AFC
1. x-Pittsburgh Steelers (11-2): AFC North leader. Beat the Patriots, and Pittsburgh is guaranteed a first-round bye. If the Jags also lose in that scenario, the Steelers will own the AFC's top seed.

2. New England Patriots (10-3): AFC East leader. Win in Pittsburgh on Sunday, and the Pats are division champs for the 15th time in the last 17 seasons.

3. Jacksonville Jaguars (9-4): AFC South leader. A win against the Texans on Sunday officially sends the Jags to postseason for the first time since 2007.

4. Kansas City Chiefs (8-6): AFC West leader. Not only did Saturday's win over the Chargers give K.C. vital breathing room, but the Chiefs' schedule now gets quite favorable as they finish against the Dolphins and Broncos. They need win only one of those games to put a bow on the division.

5. Tennessee Titans (8-5): Wild card No. 1. The Bolts' loss also helped them out.

6. Buffalo Bills (7-6): Wild card No. 2. They're desperately trying to snap the longest playoff drought in major North American professional team sports.

In the hunt: Baltimore Ravens (7-6), Los Angeles Chargers (7-7), Oakland Raiders (6-7),  Miami Dolphins (6-7)

NFC
1. x-Philadelphia Eagles (11-2): NFC East leader. Life after Carson Wentz begins Sunday. But beat the Giants, and Philly secures a first-round bye. Couple that with a Vikings loss, and the Eagles clinch home-field advantage.

2. Minnesota Vikings (10-3): NFC North leader. A victory over the Bengals gives them the division crown.

3. Los Angeles Rams (9-4): NFC West leader. Huge game at Seattle. Earn a season split with the Seahawks, and the Rams are in good shape. Lose, and L.A. could fall out of the playoff field entirely and will certainly lose their hold in first place in the division. Detroit's win Saturday guarantees the Rams cannot clinch anything in Week 15.

4. New Orleans Saints (9-4): NFC South leader. Can't afford to overlook the Jets as they try to maintain a razor-thin margin atop the division.

5. Carolina Panthers (9-4): Wild card No. 1. They need to beat Aaron Rodgers' Packers and hope New Orleans loses to snag first place in the NFC South.

6. Atlanta Falcons (8-5): Wild card No. 2. They don't have much wiggle room heading into Monday night's game at Tampa.

In the hunt: Seattle Seahawks (8-5), Detroit Lions (8-6), Dallas Cowboys (7-6), Green Bay Packers (7-6), Arizona Cardinals (6-7)
