SPOTY: Viewers convinced Paula Radcliffe’s husband BLASTS Mo Farah’s win: ‘F*****g joke'
MO FARAH was voted BBC Sports Personality of the Year last night but his win provoked a surprising reaction from one member of the audience
The 34-year-old was awarded the prestigious gong after winning his third consecutive world 10,000m gold medal in London in August.
Beating favourites Lewis Hamilton and Anthony Joshua to take home the coveted award, the long-distance runner was in complete shock at the announcement.
Mo, the most decorated British track athlete, was unable to attend the event at the Echo Arena in Liverpool and spoke from a video link at the Sir Mo Farah Track in London.
Whilst he remained speechless, the camera panned to Paula Radcliffe’s husband and Mo's new coach, Gary Lough in the audience.

Those watching took to Twitter to point out Gary looked "fuming" at the announcement as he shook his head.
And as he turned to talk to his spouse, many viewers suggested Mo's coach said “f***ing joke” or “f***ing con”.
One person wrote: “That was pure comedy. Out of an audience of a couple of thousand TV cut to a Paula Radcliffe's hubby who turned to her and responded to Mo Farrah winning #SPOTY by mouthing it was a 'f***ing joke'. Comedy gold!”
“Wow, Paula Radcliffe's husband Gary Lough didn't seem too happy about Mo Farrah winning #SPOTY,” added another.

A third said: “Did I just see whoever that was standing next to Paula Radcliffe in the audience mouth 'f***ing con' when Sir Mo Farah was named Sports Personality of the Year!!!! Bit rude #SPOTY2017.”
“Who was the bloke in the crowd that looked fuming when they announced Mo Farrah as the winner #SPOTY2017 #SPOTY,” commented one viewer.
However, it was highly unlikely Gary was angry at the win as in October, it was announced he would be training the four-time Olympic champion as he swaps the track to compete in marathons.
