YouTube personality Casey Neistat super-secret Christmas video, filmed earlier this month in the abandoned Northridge mall on Milwaukee's northwest side, was inadvertently posted on his YouTube channel, before its "official" debut scheduled for Monday.
Neistat took it down, then advertised the fact that it had been posted by mistake on Twitter.
While it was removed from Neistat's YouTube page, it was downloaded by several of his more than 8 million subscribers, and at least some of them were YouTube for awhile Sunday before being taken down.
Neistat still apparently intends to post the official video Monday.
It's unclear if the clips posted Sunday were the final version of Neistat's Christmas video, but they were complete with title cards and credits.
The video started with an external shot of Northridge, and then film of Neistat and his crew meeting with a group of kids from the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee for a gift exchange.
Then, Neistat explains to a Milwaukee police officer outside the mall that they have another surprise for the children: They have redone the inside of the mall as "the most crazy winter wonderland imaginable," with artificial snow, a skating ring, a 30-foot gingerbread house and more.
In the finale (spoilers follow), Neistat dons a Santa suit and is hoisted to the ceiling of the mall.
Last week, Neistat sent out a thank-you on Twitter to the folks who helped with the video and promised it would be posted Monday.

Neistat's YouTube channel has more than 8.3 million subscribers, and his Christmas videos are a pretty big hit. Last year's, "Human Flying Drone," has been viewed nearly 9.3 million times. Like last year's, this year's Christmas video is backed by Samsung, whose equipment is promoted in the clips.
