Packers QB Rodgers activated, will start

The Packers activated quarterback Aaron Rodgers from injured reserve Saturday, a day before he starts Sunday in a must-win game at Carolina.

Rodgers broke his right collarbone at Minnesota on Oct. 15, had surgery and was placed on injured reserve on Oct. 20.

More NFL: Reserve running back Damien Williams (illness/shoulder) and special teams standout Michael Thomas (knee) will miss Sunday's game at Buffalo. ... The Bengals put center T.J. Johnson on injured reserve with an injured chest muscle. Running back Joe Mixon also was ruled out of Sunday's game at Minnesota with a concussion. ... Falcons running back Tevin Coleman (concussion) and left guard Andy Levitre (triceps) have been ruled out for Monday night's game at Tampa Bay. ... The 49ers promoted defensive back Tyvis Powell from the practice squad to the active roster. The team also placed right tackle Trent Brown on injured reserve. Brown will need surgery on his injured shoulder. ... The Seahawks placed safety Kam Chancellor (neck) on injured reserve, waived guard Mark Glowinski, and promoted linebacker Kache Palacio and cornerback Mike Tyson from the practice squad.
