BOULDER, Colo. — A retired army officer from Boulder raised thousands of dollars to benefit a national nonprofit that helps people who are struggling with drug addiction.
Joshua Stevens ran on a treadmill for 24 hours at the Boulder Running Company on Sunday to raise awareness to an issue he said is close to his heart.
“I thought I might be able to do something to contribute a little… to fighting the opioid epidemic we have,” he told Denver7.
Stevens said he was once addicted, but now he wants to help others. His supporters stood by his side as he ran and people stopped by to donate.
