Surat: Congress is once again staring at a defeat in Gujarat assembly elections, the results of which will be announced on Monday and EVM tampering charge is an excuse by Congress leaders, Gujarat BJP general secretary Bharatsinh Parmar said.
Parmar told reporters on Sunday, "Congress leaders are preparing ground to save their party president Rahul Gandhi from blame for the defeat. He was the one who had spearheaded their campaign. EVM tampering charge is an excuse by Congress leaders and there is no truth in it. When results came in their favour, EVMs were okay for them."
He said, in south Gujarat, BJP had won 28 of 35 seats in 2012 and will do well this time. Parmar said BJP will win more than 150 seats out of the total 182 in the recently held assembly elections in the state because of the good work done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
