Two killed, four injured in accident

Jaipur: A fun trip for a group of friends ended on a tragic note when the car in which they were travelling rammed into the road divider and overturned near Mandia Road of Pali district late on Saturday night. Two of them including a young woman and a man were killed while four others were injured in the accident.

According to the police, the deceased woman belongs to Jaipur. The group of friends including Soniya Rathore (35), Aashi Sharma (18), Deepak (29), Tarun Bansal (26) and Nisha Negi were on a trip. "All of them met in Jaipur and went for site-seeing. Thereafter, they planned a trip to Mount Abu, Pali and other areas," said police officer, Sadar police station,Pali.


While the vehicle was moving towards Pali industrial area the driver of the vehicle lost balance due to rash driving and rammed into a road divider. "The vehicle overturned and all the six passengers got trapped inside with serious injuries. Some villagers informed the police about the incident and a rescue team was sent to the spot. The deceased identified as Nisha Negi (26) died on the spot while Tarun Bansal (26) succumbed to injuries while being taken to a hospital in Jodhpur," the officer added.


Nisha was probably sitting in the front seat of the vehicle and had fatal injuries on various body parts including head. One of the injured, Aashi Sharma is a student of class XII.


Police wished not to divulge more details on the family background and education of the accident victims. "There is no need to put more on the case. All what is known is that two passengers of the car were killed while four others were injured," said an officer.
