The results of the Himachal Pradesh elections will see the ouster of the Congress and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s BJP returning to power, if exit poll predictions come true.

The counting of votes for the 68 seats in Himachal Pradesh will begin at 8am. The Election Commission of India will announce the final Himachal Pradesh election results oneci.nic.in by the evening.

People in the hill state have been alternating between the Congress and the BJP in assembly elections every five years.

There are 68 seats in the Himachal Pradesh assembly, elections to which were held on November 9. A party needs 35 seats to be able to form a government.
