(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) By Faisal Al-Rashidi KUWAIT, Dec 17 (KUNA) -- The national football teams of Kuwait and Bahrain will face-off Monday in a friendly match ahead of the prestigious Gulf 23 football tournament, said an official Sunday.

The Kuwaiti national team's media coordinator Farouq Al-Awadhi told KUNA that this was the first match for the Kuwaiti team since lifting the FIFA ban.

The Kuwaiti team, which consists of 26 players, will return home on Tuesday.

The Gulf 23 football tournament will be held on December 22 until January fifth with the participation of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Oman, Iraq, and Yemen. (end) fr.gta
