Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo furious at club desire to be like Manchester United

REAL MADRID star Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly furious at the club’s desire to match Manchester United’s financial might.

Real Madrid are set to release a new jersey at the end of the season, as in keeping with their Adidas sponsorship deal.

Manchester United are also in partnership with the kit manufactures having signed a huge £750million deal back in 2014.

Leaked images of Real’s jersey for next year have began to surface on the internet with the La Liga giants set to ditch their current blue and white jersey.

And Spanish outlet Don Balon say Ronaldo is livid at the club’s new shirt and their desire to be more like United off the pitch.

The new Real Madrid shirt is set to come with several new features.

The club will move away from the light blue shirts of this season’s kit and instead opt to fill the sleeves in with grey.

Real will also boost Adidas’ image by having the logo and sponsor both in black.

And Don Balon say this has not gone down well with Ronaldo.

The 32-year-old supposedly feels the club are more focused on making money off the field than winning trophies on it.

Real are keen to usurp Ronaldo’s former club Manchester United and German giants Bayern Munich as football’s biggest superpower.

And Ronaldo thinks this is distracting them from winning silverware.

Meanwhile, speaking earlier in the week, the Portugal international praised United for making him appreciate the Club World Cup.

It is a very important tournament for us," Ronaldo told beIN Sports.

"It's obviously a pleasure to play it because you can only do it if you've won the Champions League.

"The footballer is aiming to lead his side to victory again.

"I've had the chance to win the Club World Cup with Real Madrid and also with Manchester United.

"It's a competition that I like a lot.

"What I want is to win and if it's possible to score and help the team win this cup."
