DUBAI: Four thugs who lured a manager with a charming woman’s photo, mugged him and decamped with his Dhs101,000 and iPhone will serve three years in jail plus deportation.

An African woman, 27, posed as a Russian lady online and summoned the Lebanese manager, 42, to an apartment in Al Barsha for a sexual affair on Jul.10, the Dubai Criminal Court learnt.

As soon as he entered, her accomplices -a compatriot male visitor, 23, his friend, 32, and a countryman, 29, beat him up, snatched around Dhs1,000 and his iPhone. They fetched a wallet from his car.

They removed bank cards, threatened him then beat him into disclosing the cards’ PIN numbers.  With the help of a fugitive woman, the quartet used two of the cards to withdraw Dhs100,000.

The manager narrated that an attractive young woman online told him she was a Russian masseuse staying in Dubai. He became fond of her. She summoned him in the evening. He knocked on the apartment’s door.

An African woman opened and hid behind it.  He asked about the beautiful Russian. The African woman directed him to one of the rooms, claiming the Russian was there. Upon entering the room, another African woman shut it and demanded him for cash.

He hesitated. The men joined. One of them brandished a knife. They threatened to assault him if he declined to direct them to his car.  They photographed him and threatened to use the photos to hunt him down if complained to the police.
