Arsenal vs Newcastle teams

14:00: The teams for Arsenal’s clash with Newcastle are out:

Arsenal: Cech, Bellerin, Koscielny, Monreal, Maitland-Niles, Xhaka, Wilshere, Iwobi, Ozil, Sanchez, Lacazette.

Newcastle: Elliot, Yedlin, Lascelles, Lejeune, Manquillo, Merino, Murphy, Hayden, Atsu, Perez, Joselu.

Ozil to Barcelona

12:53: Cristiano Ronaldo is desperate for Mesut Ozil NOT to sign for Barcelona.

Real Madrid star Ronaldo played with Ozil at the Bernabeu and isn’t keen on the idea of the Arsenal playmaker heading to Barca.

That is according to Don Balon, who claim Ozil is on Barca radar.

Manchester United are also interested in the Germany playmaker.

Arsenal appear resigned to seeing him leave in the summer when his contract expires.

Chelsea Lemar move

09.30: Chelsea are ready to trade misfit Michy Batshuayi for Monaco ace Thomas Lemar.

Lemar is on Chelsea's radar for January as Antonio Conte eyes additions in the transfer window.

Arsenal and Liverpool tried to sign Lemar in the summer but he stayed in France.

However he could now be allowed to leave.

Real want Aguero

09.15:Real Madrid will try to sign Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero if Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez moves to the Etihad Stadium, according to reports.

Aguero’s Manchester City future is in doubt with the forward currently below Gabriel Jesus in Pep Guardiola’s pecking order.

The Argentina international has found himself on the bench in recent games and was notably omitted from the XI for City’s 2-1 win over Manchester United last weekend.

And Spanish outlet Diario Gol claim City will likely sell Aguero at the end of the season - if they can land Arsenal’s Sanchez.

The Chile international is set to leave the Emirates at the end of the campaign.

Mourinho on January

09.00: Jose Mourinho admits he could sign new players next month - but only ones he would buy in the summer.

He said: "I don't like the January market just to buy (for the sake of buying). But if you can buy one you would buy in June, with the chance a few months before, then great."

United have been linked with Mesut Ozil but Arsene Wenger insists he is staying at Arsenal.

Wilshere talks

08.45:Arsene Wenger will hold contract talks with Jack Wilshere next month.

Wenger said: “I will talk to him — I said the end of December and we are at the beginning of December, so it’s true that it’s not far, but I wanted to see as well how much he can contribute and last physically,” said Wenger.  “He's an Arsenal man and, of course, it is important for him to be happy to be here.”
