Mercedes-Benz named Oman’s Most Trusted Luxury Car Brand in 2017

Cementing its position as the market leader of 2017, Mercedes-Benz Oman has been voted the winner of the ‘automotive luxury car’ category at ‘Oman’s Most Trusted Brand’ Awards. 

Organised at the Shangri-La Barr al Jissah Resort & Spa, the event was held under the auspices of H H Sayyid Tarik bin Shabib bin Taimur al Said and the award was presented by H E Dr Ali bin Masoud al Sunaidi, Minister of Commerce and Industry, according to a press release.

Accepting the award on behalf of Mercedes-Benz Oman, CEO Lawrence Good said, “This award represents the peak of a remarkable year for Mercedes-Benz in Oman. Thanks to our unwavering commitment to ‘the Best or Nothing’, we have once again reinforced our commanding position in the luxury automotive market.

We constantly strive to set new benchmarks in the automotive sector and it is a great honour to be recognised by consumers in a category that our brand’s legacy is built on.”

The winners of Oman’s Most Trusted Brand Awards were chosen from over 450 brands in over 26 different categories. Categories in the awards covered a range of industries including aviation, banking and finance, retail, tourism and healthcare.

The year 2017 has seen Mercedes-Benz Oman introduce new models to its award-winning line-up. These included the stylish new E-Class Coupé and E-Class Cabriolet and the most powerful E-Class of all time, the Mercedes-AMG E 63 S 4MATIC+. For the thrill seekers, there was the arrival of the Mercedes-AMG GT R, a street legal racing car and the Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster and GT C Roadster taking open-top performance to new heights.

For luxury family travel or state-of-the-art corporate travel, the new V-Class was brought to the people moving segment, while the highly anticipated new S-Class retains its title as the undisputed leader of intelligence, power, performance and luxury.

As part of its drive to elevate aftersales services, Mercedes-Benz also introduced its Comprehensive Care programme for vehicles registered before January 1, 2010 and opened up its innovative SmallRepair service to customers of all luxury branded vehicles. Maintaining its position as leader in safety, Mercedes-Benz conducted numerous vehicle health checks during service weeks in Muscat, Sohar and Salalah.

The brand continued its focus on customer experience with its renowned staff training programme, ‘Our Passion – Best Customer Experience’ held in October.
