Strictly Come Dancing 2017 winner REVEALED — and fans are fuming

STRICTLY Come Dancing fans have been left cross with the reveal of the winner tonight.

2017 announced the winner of the show tonight. 

During the final episode, the scores remained very tight as Alexandra Burke, Gemma Atkinson, Debbie McGee and Joe McFadden battled it out to take home the crown. 

But it was Joe McFadden who was crowned victorious.

WINNER: Joe won the Glitterball trophy for 2017

Alexandra Burke had been the dancer to come out on top in terms of judge's scores. 

She ended the show with a whopping 119 for three dances. 

But it was Joe McFadden who was the favourite to win over the last few weeks, as bookies

UNSURE: Some fans were not impressed with Joe's win

But as Joe and his partner Katya accepted the Glitterball trophy, some fans were left unconvinced. 

They took to social media to point out that Alexandra had consistently topped the leaderboard for the majority of the competition. 

One posted: "Ah ok so another white male wins another reality TV competition. Unusual..."

BOOKIES FAVOURITE: Joe and Katya had been leading the odds for weeks

Another added: "Sorry Alexandra, you were the best dancer, why did Joe win? Recount please." 

A third chipped in: "Jesus Christ they could have given the glitterball to the dinner lady for how much he deserves it."

One fan wrote: "So pleased for Joe, he did so well all the way through and he is sooo nice."

The Strictly tour starts in January.
