Junior Intermediate student commits suicide unable to fare well in studies

KADAPA: An Intermediate student allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself to a ceiling fan at Vattepalle village in Veeraballi mandal on Friday.CI Narasimha Raju said that Nagachalam (16) was studying first year Intermediate at Kakatiya Junior College in Rayachoti.  His father Ramachandra is working as daily wage labourer. The student hanged himself in the morning when no one was at home. He was immediately shifted to hospital in 108 ambulance but he was declared brought dead. CI Narasimha Raju examined the scene and seized a suicide note.  

The CI said that the tutor of the college reprimanded the student for lagging behind in studies. The deceased also mentioned in the suicide note that he was unable to study and poor in understanding Mathematics and lagging behind in studies. In the suicide note, the boy reportedly said no body was responsible for his death.

Significantly, the parents and relatives of the deceased student said that he committed suicide due to ill-health. The parents threatened to commit suicide when they were forced for details about their son’s death. The parents in their complaint to police told that he ended life due to ill-health. Meanwhile, the police are investigating whether the suicide note is authentic or written by somebody else.
