Railway engineers of all technical departments at the Railway Divisional Office staged a Mission Safety Dharna here on Friday. It was a part of the nationwide dharna conducted at all divisional and zonal offices by the All India Railway Engineers Federation (AIREF).
Stating that the Railway Engineers are a demoralized lot, Divisional Secretary of South Western Railway Engineers Association K Subhash Chandra Babu said, “The non-safety cadres have always received better pay and various perks when compared to Railway Engineers who ensure safety.
