Armed miscreants steal 200 litre diesel from parked trucks

BHOPAL : Four armed and masked miscreants held petrol pump guard and truck drivers at knife point and stole diesel from three parked trucks in the wee hours of Friday. The incident took place at a petrol pump in Rapadiya village of Misrod.

SDOP, Misrod, Vijay Punj said that complainant Pushpendra Thakur (20) of Sagar had been working as security guard at Harimuni petrol pump that has been lying defunct for the last few months.

Thakur said that four masked miscreants reached the petrol pump in the wee hours and asked Thakur to repair puncture. On being told that it would be possible only in the morning, one of the miscreants whipped out a knife. Holding him hostage, the other miscreants got down from Bolero vehicle and started stealing diesel from three trucks parked on the petrol pump premises. Hearing the commotion, drivers of two trucks too woke up. They were brutally assaulted when they tried to offer a resistance. Later, the miscreants stole 200 litre diesel worth Rs 12,000 from trucks in plastic canes. They took away the guard too and dropped him around 500 metre from the spot before speeding towards Raisen via Jhagariya village.


Based on Thakur’s complaint, a case under sections 394 and 342 of the IPC was registered against unidentified miscreants and manhunt launched.
