Real Madrid move step closer to sensational Neymar transfer
REAL MADRID could be set to complete a sensational move for Neymar after Florentino Perez reportedly held a meeting with the player’s father.
Neymar caused the shock of the summer transfer window when he decided to leave Barcelona to join Paris Saint-Germain.
It sparked heavy controversy of the huge £198million world-record fee the Ligue 1 side paid for the Brazil international.
And his time in the French capital has been mired with drama, having fallen out with Edinson Cavani over who should take penalties.
It led to accusations that Neymar has grown unhappy with life in Paris and speculation suggesting Real Madrid could make a sensational move for the former Barcelona star.
It would seem highly unlikely the 25-year-old would opt to join Barcelona’s fiercest rivals in La Liga, but it seems Zinedine Zidane’s side are doing all they can to secure his services.
Spanish outlet Diario Gol claim Real owner Florentino Perez has met with Neymar’s father to discuss a potential transfer to the Bernebeu.
And it is suggested the Brazil international has told PSG’s owners he wants to leave the club as early as 2019, with Real his ideal destination.

PSG would be unlikely to willingly let Neymar leave, especially for nothing less than the world-record fee they paid for him in the summer.
And the report suggests Real are ready to break the bank in order to bring Neymar to the Spanish capital by offering close to £220m.
