Software major Wipro on Friday tied up with the US-based Headspin to offer next-generation mobility, engineering and testing solutions on global mobile networks. "The joint offering will simplify testing and mobile experience for global mobile networks," said the IT major in a statement here. The company's investment arm Wipro Ventures invested an unspecified amount in Headspin, a San Francisco-based easy-to-use mobile experience platform, in October.
"The partnership will leverage Headspin's network of 22,000 mobile devices deployed in carrier networks across 150 locations," said Wipro Vice President Hiral Chandrana. Wipro's quality assurance capabilities will bring value to customers by validating their mobile applications, devices and networks under real-life conditions, the company said.
"As mobile has become essential for business, reliability and performance of mobile devices and applications are key to enabling a customer experience," it said.
Headspin Chief Executive Manish Lachwani said the partnership would accelerate the adoption of its innovative solution by the world's largest enterprises. "Wipro's investment will give us impetus to our efforts in the mobile quality engineering space," he added.
