Strictly Come Dancing 2017 final: Did Joe McFadden almost LOSE champion title? 'Gutted'
STRICTLY COME DANCING fans feared their favourite may have scuppered his chances of glory during tonight’s final.
Thankfully, the former Holby City star proved his doubters wrong and was crowned the 15th champion of Strictly Come Dancing tonight.
However, following his second perfomance of the night, the showstopper, Joe's fans flocked to Twitter airing their concern.
Joe’s partner Katya Jones even managed to magically transform her dress mid-routine, but BBC viewers at home thought the actor may have lost his grip on the coveted Glitterball trophy.
“Joe, what was that mate?” gasped one disappointed fan, which was followed by: “Oh my god, have we just witnessed Joe lose?”
A third sighed: “Didn't rate Joe's show dance tbh.”

I was expecting something amazing and it was a bit meh
“Oh bl**dy hell. I'm gutted. I didn't like Joe's showdance :(,” despaired one more, before another said: “Will still be surprised if Joe doesn't win this, but that showdance round has made it interesting…”
This audience member agreed: “I didn’t really love Joe and Katya’s showdance. I was expecting something amazing and it was a bit meh.”
The comments come after Joe entered the Strictly Come Dancing final as the firm favourite to win, ahead of rivals Debbie McGee, Gemma Atkinson and Alexandra Burke.

However, bookmakers have revealed that former magician’s assistant Debbie is the one being backed by punters.
“Joe has taken a lot of money, but nobody has seen more money throughout the competition than Debbie,” Pete Watton, a spokesperson for OddsMonkey commented.
“That is remarkable as these two were not even mentioned at the start.”
Strictly Come Dancing will be available to stream on iPlayer following tonight’s live final.
