JAMMU: A Division Bench (DB) of State High Court comprising Chief Justice Badar Durrez Ahmed and Justice Sanjeev Kumar on Saturday directed that directions issued on March 17, 2016 by the DB asking Railway Board to set-up Railway Booking Counter in J&K High Court should be carried out in letter and spirit within two weeks.
The court direction came in a contempt petition filed in Public Interest Litigation for setting up Railway Counter at J&K High Court at par with other High Courts.
After hearing Advocate B.R Manhas (Who is petitioner also), the DB directed that in case of non compliance, R.K Verma Secretary Railway Board New Delhi shall remain present in the Court on the next date of hearing.
