The Luyong Students’ Union under Mokokchung district will be organising a mega Luyong Valley Festival on Dec. 21 and 22nd at Public Ground, Luyong on the theme ‘Reinvigorating Talent’.
A release issued by the organisers committee mentions that the horde of events and competitions will be held during the two day festival of which the main attraction is said to be the concert by the popular Divine Connection band on the second day.
Luyong is said to be a village under Jangpetkong range in Mokokchung district, located some 70 km away from Mokokchung town.
“The object of the festival is to strengthen lives and all round development. It also aims at promoting local budding talents and create awareness to perform and excel in the field of music and sports,” said Supongyanger, the convener of the LVF Organising Committee.
Some of the events are solo competition, cycling, arm wrestling, tug-of-war, beach volleyball, master chef competition and marathon race.
