Along with double act Tess Daly, the pair pulled together another sketch which saw Claudia collapse.

As presenter Tess introduced Alexandra Burke and Gorka Márquez for their second dance, Claudia was determined to show off her moves to Dirty Dancing.

Tess shouted: “Okay Claud, are you ready?”

From off-screen, Claudia said: “The question is… are you ready?”

Claudia then flew across the screen, leaving Tess shocked.

As the camera pulled back, viewers could see a trampoline and crash mat as the crew helped a hysterical Claudia.

Fans instantly took to social media, with one tweeting: “Laughing so much at Claudia.”

“Claudia Winkleman should be first on anyone's list for a Xmas party, she is totally brilliant,” posted another.

A third added: “Claudia Winkleman is a national treasure.”

Judge Bruno Tonioli was later seen to fall off of his chair after tripping on a cable.
