Revisiting Christian theme of 'Kingdom of God' during festive season of Christmas
The 'Kingdom of God' is the central theme of Jesus' teachings and is often reflected upon during Advent and Christmas festival season.

Christian scriptures say that Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God. He had preached saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel."

It is held that Jesus consistently taught the message of hope or gospel which meant good news. He had trained His 12 disciples and sent them out 'to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick'. The scriptures say that Jesus after His crucifixion and resurrection had appeared before His disciples and spoke of the things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.

Speaking to His disciples, Jesus has been quoted to have said, "To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to those who are outside, all things come in parables, so that 'Seeing they may see and not perceive, and hearing they may hear and not understand; lest they should turn, and their sins be forgiven them'"

It is often interpreted spiritually that the Kingdom of God was within each human being to be sought and realized. Here are some of my haiku on this theme of Christianity.
