KALABURGAI: Yadigir police have registered a case against BJP MLA Raja Singh of Goshamahal in Telangana, who made a provocative speech that could inflame communal tensions at the Virat Hindu Samavesh convention in Yadagiri on Thursday evening.

Raja Singh is known for making such speeches, and many cases have been filed against him in Hyderabad. He called upon Hindus to keep swords in their houses.

Sri Ram Sene founder Pramod Muthalik, the forum's state president, the Andola Siddaling seer, and Hyderabad-Karnataka region Sri Ram Sene president, Vijay Patil, have been booked for making provocative speeches, along with Raja Singh.

Sources said Raja Singh was specially invited for the Virat Hindu Samavesh by Muthalik, as he is known for making fiery speeches. Singh also brandished a sword on the stage, during the function.

North East range IGP Alok Kumar said he will take action against police personnel who were present at the venue, but did nothing.
