Transfer News LIVE updates: All the latest gossip from Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and the rest of the Premier League and Europe.
Saturday, December 16
12.20pm: Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham have asked Real Madrid about Gareth Bale.
Don Balon claim the Premier League trio have enquired about the 28-year-old's price ahead of next summer.
A return to Spurs would be Bale's ideal end result but Real will look for the biggest fee for the Welshman.
11.55am: West Ham will look to strengthen their squad in the January transfer window.
"I hope it is busy, the January window," manager David Moyes said.
"In recent years, it has not been as busy as people had made it out to be. But it is not the easiest month (to do transfer business).
"I would like to add to the squad if we can do.
“I think it is really important that we try and get players who we think can make a difference and can give us people who can more or less go straight into the team.
“But that is not the easiest thing to do."
11am: Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has heaped praise on Liverpool star Mohamed Salah.
The La Liga giants have been linked with a move for the Premier League top scorer.
Zidane said: “Salah is a great player.
“He showed that at Roma, now at Liverpool.
“He’s still young and is improving all the time. I don’t talk much about other players, but he is a player I rate a lot.”
10.30am: Ray Wilkins believes unsettled Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski would be the perfect January addition for Chelsea.
The former Blues player and coach told Sporting Bet: “When you’re Chelsea, or any top club for that matter, you’re always looking for Champions League calibre players, most of which are already playing for teams in the competition and therefore are registered and won’t be able to play in European competitions for you.
“You have to look at teams who have had the unfortunate situation of dropping out of Europe.
“It would have been lovely to see Bayern Munich knocked out and Robert Lewandowski come to Chelsea but that’s unlikely to happen. He’s a player I’d love to see come to Stamford Bridge.
“Unless they pull a gem out of the bag, it’s a difficult to window to play in.”
10 big name players who could move in January

10am: Jose Mourinho is optimistic Manchester United can sign Mateo Kovacic from Real Madrid.
According to Spanish outlet Don Balon, midfielder Kovacic is admired by Mourinho.
The Croatian has struggled to nail down a place in Real’s starting XI.
And if a good offer comes in, Kovacic could apparently consider leaving Zinedine Zidane’s side.
Don Balon add United are willing to offer up to £27m for the 23-year-old.
Negotiations are claimed to be set to start in January between the two clubs.
9.30am: Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has dodged questions over a January move for Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez.
City came close to signing Sanchez for £60m last summer only to see a deal collapse when Arsenal failed to land replacement Thomas Lemar.
City are expected to return for Sanchez in 2018 and Guardiola rejected the opportunity to cool speculation over an imminent deal.
When asked directly whether City would make a January move for Sanchez, Guardiola replied: “Good question!
“The transfer window is in winter time so I don't know. I don't know what we are going to do.”
