UP elected as the chairman of the UP IAS officers association

Praveer Kumar, chairman of Board of revenue, Uttar Pradesh has been elected as the chairman of the UP IAS officers association. Alok Kumar, the incumbent secretary has been reelected to the post. The election of the office bearers was held here on Friday in the annual general meeting of the association. 

The AGM of the association he held every year during the IAS week, an annual event. The four-day-long IAS Week, the annual event organized by the UP IAS Association commenced here on December 14. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed the conference of senior administrative officers here on Thursday. This was the first occasion that the Chief Minister addressed the conference after taking oath of office on March 19 last.  The UP cadre IAS officers are members of the association.

On Friday besides the annual general meeting spouse meet and group lunch were also organized followed by the service dinner.  The major event of the third day on Saturday is the cricket match between the IAS and IPS officers. Earlier, during the previous Samajwadi Party regime, a cricket match was played between the Chief Minister XI and IAS XI. However, the match   could not be organised in 2016 due to the UP Assembly elections. Then Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav had set a record of sort by emerging as a man of the match for four consecutive years.   The IAS week will conclude on December 17.
