Rahul Gandhi slams PM Narendra Modi for "taking India back to medieval times"

In his inaugural address as Congress president, Rahul Gandhi launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying that the prime minister is taking the country back to medieval times.
Rahul Gandhi, who took charge as the Congress party president today in an elaborate ceremony at the party headquarters, a post held by her mother Sonia Gandhi for 19 years, hit out at the BJP for "spreading fire of violence across the country".
He said that the politics in the country is "devoid of truth and kindness".
Earlier, Sonia Gandhi, in her speech, said that the country is facing an environment of fear.
She said that Rahul Gandhi has seen a lot of tough situations which have only made him stronger.
