The sleuths of Special Operations Team, LB Nagar Zone and Ibrahimpatnam Police of Rachakonda Commissionerate, on a tip off, busted and arrested the 15 members of the cattle theft gang.

The arrested are Aziz Qureshi (Cattle Theft Organizer), S Mohammed Azam Ali, Syed Waseemuddin, Syed Sameer, Mohammed Hussain (Receiver), Mohammed Ghouse, Mohammed Mubeen, Nawaz Khan, Noor Rahman, Syed Yousuf Mazher, Ghouse Qureshi, Altab Ali (Bolero Mahindra Driver), Abdul Shaik Qadeer, Mohammed Salman and Mohammed Akhil Qureshi.
The cops have recovered a cash amount of Rs. 4,00,000 and also seized one cow and four vehicles. The suspects used to allegedly steal cattle from the sheds which are located in unguarded and secluded places. After stealing, they used to transport them in the seized vehicles.

Prime accused Aziz Qureshi, alias Captain Baba, has two slaughter houses, one each at Bandlaguda and Baba Nagar. Recently, he hatched on a plan to steal cattles and arranged a team and vehicles to accomplish the plan.
Prior to committing the offence, Qureshi arranged for cattle sheds located in isolated area. Later, the gang would meet at the cattle shed along with the arranged vehicles and commit the crime. The butchers help to slaughter the cattle and later sell the beef before sunrise and destroy all evidence.

The suspects, on Saturday, were on their way to commit the cattle theft offence when the Ibrahimpatnam police intercepted and apprehended them. The accused and the seized property has been handed over to the Ibrahimpatnam police station.
The arrests were made under the supervision of Sri Mahesh M. Bhagwat, IPS., Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda with the help of other officers.
