About 400 more frozen turkeys sought for season's neediest

- About 400 more frozen turkeys are needed by the Salvation Army of Concord to make sure needy families have Christmas dinner, the agency announced today.

The turkeys are needed before Wednesday when the Salvation Army holds it Toy & Joy Distribution.

"We want to make sure that all of the families we're assisting will not only have the toys but also the food for the holidays," Major Glen Madsen, Concord Salvation Army Corps Officer, said.

Donors can drop off a frozen turkey at The Salvation Army Concord Corps Community Center at 3950 Clayton Road in Concord from 8:30 a.m. to 4:40 p.m. except on Sunday.

The Salvation Army of Concord will help nearly 1,000 families this Christmas season.
