RU students continue movement for Rucsu election

A section of Rajshahi University (RU) students yesterday started a mass signature collection campaign before the Central Library as part of their ongoing movement demanding election to RU Central Students Union (Rucsu).

Around 50 students joined the campaignat 11:30am.

A student, Sajib Kumar, said no Rucsu election had been held in last 28 years.

But, the RU authorities are taking Tk15 from every student as Rucsu fee every year, said demonstrators.

They will submit a memorandum along with the signatures to the vice-chancellor after Monday.
