Procter & Gamble to 'evaluate' USA Gymnastics sponsorship
Procter & Gamble will "evaluate" next year whether to negotiate another sponsorship deal with USA Gymnastics (USAG), a company spokesperson said on Thursday. Responding to a report it had dropped its sponsorship in the wake of a sexual abuse scandal involving a former team doctor, Procter & Gamble said it had fulfilled the terms of its deal.

Williams put off driver announcement to New Year
Formula One team Williams have put off until the New Year an announcement on who will partner Canadian teenager Lance Stroll next season. A team spokeswoman confirmed no driver news was planned before January, with the 21-race 2018 season due to start in Australia on March 25.
Froome 'not ashamed' of using asthma inhaler
Chris Froome has said his use of an inhaler is "not something to be ashamed of" after a urine test at the Vuelta a Espana in September showed excess levels of an asthma medication. Froome was found to have double the allowed amount of the legal drug Salbutamol in his system in a test after stage 18 of the Vuelta, which he won, on Sept. 7, the International Cycling Union confirmed on Wednesday.
Brazilian football boss Del Nero banned for 90 days: FIFA
Brazilian soccer chief Marco Polo del Nero was banned for 90 days by FIFA on Friday while he is investigated over possible unethical conduct, the global body said in a statement. Del Nero, a former member of FIFA's executive committee, was among 42 soccer officials and sports marketing executives indicted in the United States in 2015 in a corruption scandal that sparked the biggest crisis in FIFA's history.
Hewitt comes out of retirement to play doubles at Australian Open
Former world number one Lleyton Hewitt is to come out of retirement temporarily and play doubles with compatriot Sam Groth at next month's Australian Open, local media reported on Friday. Hewitt, a U.S. Open and Wimbledon singles champion, officially retired from top-level tennis after his home grand slam in 2016, where he also played doubles with Groth. He did, however, play doubles during the Davis Cup and Wimbledon last year.
Putin: U.S. secret services control doping whistleblower Rodchenkov
Russia's former anti-doping chief-turned-whistleblower Grigory Rodchenkov is working under the control of U.S. special services, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday. The scandal over the 2014 Sochi Olympics, triggered by revelations made by Rodchenkov, is part of a broader doping affair that has led to the suspension of Russia's anti-doping agency RUSADA, the country's athletics federation and Paralympic Committee.
Osweiler's three TDs lift Broncos over Colts
Brock Osweiler threw for two touchdowns and ran for another to lead the Denver Broncos to a 25-13 victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday night. Osweiler came into the game after starter Trevor Siemian left with reportedly a dislocated left shoulder after a sack in the first quarter. Osweiler completed 12 of 17 passes for 194 yards. Broncos running back C.J. Anderson gained 158 yards on 30 carries.
Bedene to switch allegiance from Britain back to Slovenia
World number 49 Aljaz Bedene has finally given up on representing his adopted country Britain and will switch allegiance back to his native Slovenia next year. The 28-year-old became a British citizen in 2015 but his hopes of playing in the Davis Cup were thwarted by a rule change brought in by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) that prevents players appearing for more than one country.
