"His family members including wife Rajathi Ammal, son M K Tamilarasu and daughter Selvi Selvam too accompanied him. He was so happy to visit Arivalayam after more than a year and signed a register there," added sources.




On how the visit happened, sources said, "when Stalin met Karunanidhi earlier in the day, he asked his father whether he wanted to visit Arivalayam and the latter nodded his head saying 'yes'. Arrangements were made immediately."

The visit has made party leaders and cadres happy, who said that 'Kalaignar' is on the path to recovery. "We hope he will be back in good health soon," they said. The nonagenarian, who is confined to home after he underwent tracheostomy some months ago, recently visited the office of the party's mouthpiece 'Murasoli'.
