PSN SERVERS have gone down as numerous reports of ce-34861-2 errors flood in from hundreds of PlayStation Network users today.

Thousands of PSN users are reporting issues with the service being down this evening with a huge spike in reports of users unable to log in on the PlayStation Network.

Most PSN users have reported problems with the PS4 online gaming network after Sony released their new system update yesterday.

And on independent website Down Detector, hundreds of PSN users have reported problems with the service.

Normally the website is pretty accurate with problems with online network services, which reported PSN having issues from around 12am midnight.

Many have also reported seeing the error code ce-34861-2

The official PlayStation Network page has also indicated problems with the network, specifically for Gaming and social services.

"You may have some difficulty launching games, applications, or online features. Our engineers are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, and we thank you for your patience."
