Planned Roadworks In Yorkshire And The Humber: 18 December 2017

The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of Friday 15 December and could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

M1 junction 32 Thurcroft

The southbound exit slip road will be fully closed overnight on Wednesday 20 December for smart motorway works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M1 junction 33 Catcliffe

The southbound exit and entry slip roads will be fully closed overnight on Tuesday 19 December for smart motorway works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M1 junction 34 Tinsley

The northbound entry slip road will be fully closed overnight on Thursday 21 December for smart motorway works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M1 junction 39 to junction 38 Haigh

The southbound carriageway will be fully closed overnight for four nights from Monday 18 December for resurfacing works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M1 junction 39 Durkar

The northbound exit slip road will be fully closed overnight on Monday 18 December for drainage works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 junction 27 Gildersome

The westbound entry slip road will be fully closed overnight on Tuesday 19 December for technology works. The closures take place between 8pm and 6am and drivers will be able to follow a clearly signed diversion route.

M62 junction 29 Lofthouse

The roundabout will be closed where the M1 and M62 meet overnight for six nights from Saturday 16 December for bridge maintenance work. The closures will be between 8pm and 6am and clearly signed diversions will be in place.

M62 junction 32 Castleford to junction 30 Rothwell

The eastbound carriageway will be fully closed overnight for two nights from Monday 18 December and the westbound carriageway will be fully closed overnight for two nights from Wednesday 20 December for the installation of concrete barriers. The eastbound and westbound carriageway will be in narrow lanes with 50mph speed restriction until March 2018. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 junction 33 to junction 34 Whitley

The eastbound and westbound carriageway will be in narrow lanes with 50mph speed restriction until April 2018 for drainage improvement works following the recent concrete barrier work.

M621 junction 7 to junction 3 Holbeck

The anticlockwise carriageway will be fully closed overnight for three nights from Monday 18 December for barrier works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M621 junction 6 Belle Isle

The anticlockwise entry slip road will be closed overnight on Thursday 21 December for survey works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M180 junction 1 Tudworth

The westbound entry will be fully closed overnight for two nights for drainage works from Monday 18 December. The eastbound exit slip road will be fully closed overnight for drainage works on Thursday 21 December. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A631 Tinsley Viaduct

The southbound carriageway will be fully closed overnight for two nights from Monday 18 December for electrical works. The northbound carriageway will be fully closed overnight for two nights from Wednesday 20 December for electrical works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A180 junction 5 Barnetby

The eastbound entry slip road at junction 5 will be closed overnight on Monday 18 December for survey works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A1033 Somerdon to Saltend

The eastbound carriageway will be fully closed overnight on Thursday 21 December for loop works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A1 Barnsdale Bar to Ferry Bridge

The northbound carriageway will be fully closed overnight for four nights from Saturday 16 December for emergency bridge repairs. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A64 Grimston

The south bridge on the roundabout will be fully closed overnight on Monday 18 December. This is for the traffic signal sensors to be installed. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.
