An East Side home was allegedly set on fire after two men forced their way inside and could not find the person they were looking for Friday night, according to police.
San Antonio Police Department Sgt. Patrick Kelly said a woman was by herself in the home when two men knocked on the door at 7 p.m. in the 1500 block of Center Street.

“The two males more or less forced way in,” Kelly said, adding that the two were looking for someone.
When they didn’t find the person they were looking for, the two set fire to a backroom, investigators said.

San Antonio firefighters extinguished the fire. No one was injured in the fire, police said.

Investigators estimated there was a total $40,000 in damage to the home.
Police did not have any information on the suspects.
Arson investigators and police detectives are examining the scene.
