Man City boss Pep Guardiola will rejoin Barcelona - expert

PEP GAURDIOLA will manage Barcelona again one day - says a psychology expert.

Pep Guardiola will one day return to Barcelona

Guardiola is currently midway through his contract at Manchester City.

The former Barca manager has guided City to the top of the Premier League table this season.

They have broken the English top-flight record for consecutive league wins (15) in the process.

Guardiola left Barcelona in 2012 and had a three-year stint at Bayern Munich before heading to City in 2016.

And UK sport psychologist Phil Johnson reckons he will eventually exit City too, with Barca beckoning.

Barcelona enjoyed a period of unprecedented success under Pep Guardiola

“Pep has two years left in him at Manchester City, but it really depends on how things go,” Johnson told BetStars

“The one thing that could drive him to stay a bit longer is his desire to win the Champions League with the club.

“He wants to win the Champions League with another club in addition to Barcelona and did not achieve this at Bayern Munich.”

On whether he will join Barcelona again, Johnson added: “Guardiola is a relatively young manager to have achieved so much.

There is time for Barcelona to sound him out

psychologist Phil Johnson

“The national team will always beckon, but I think returning to Barcelona will feel like going home.

“He may have another 15- 20 years in management, so there is time for Barcelona to sound him out as their man and I think he would go back.”

(5.30pm) where they will look to further extend their lead at the top of the table.

They were drawn against Basel in the last-16 of the Champions League.
