RIVALRY: A bitter catfight has erupted among the three female finalists ahead of tonight's show

Only the favourite-to-win Joe McFadden has come out unscathed.

The claws have come out among the three girls just hours before this year’s TV dance show reaches a nail-biting climax.

Former magician’s assistant Debbie has had a ‘dig’ about Alexandra being a hate target on the show.

She claimed if the BBC released the vote figures it would prove how unpopular she is.

HAPPY: Debbie McGee said her Strictly journey had been a 'happy experience'

X Factor champion Alexandra has been in the dance-off twice proving she does not have public support.

When asked if the BBC should release voting figures, Debbie said: “No! I don’t think it would be fair on people to release the figures because it would make people feel really unpopular.”

Debbie made a point of highlighting how her Strictly journey had been such “a happy experience’’ and she had experienced “not even 1%” of negativity or trolling.

This is in contrast to Alexandra who has been the victim of cruel trolls on social media.

NO EXPERIENCE: Gemma is the only celebrity in the final without any previous dance experience

There have also been claims some viewers were “racist” because she wasn’t winning votes.

Debbie said: “The thing about Strictly is the negative side of it is not even one per cent.

“Everything about Strictly is a happy experience.”

However, Alexandra pointed out: “There has been some trolling.

NO SUPPORT: X Factor champion Alexandra has been in the dance-off twice

“Sometimes it can take its toll, mentally, and that’s my fault for reading.

“I concentrate on the positivity though, because I’m such a positive person and I’ll find a reason to smile.”

Meanwhile, former Emmerdale actress Gemma has had a dig about the fact that she is the only celebrity in the final who has had no previous dance experience.

She said: “I have never danced in my life and I never did stage school or drama school and putting on a show every Saturday is so new to me.”

FAVOURITE: Joe McFadden is the favourite to win this edition of Strictly Come Dancing

Gemma is the only ‘novice’ left on the show.

Debbie is a trained ballet star and Alexandra learned dance at school and has been in the West End while Joe has been in stage productions of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Rent.

Former Holby City hunk Joe has not been caught up in any war of words.

The Scots star said: “Being on Strictly has been the most exhilarating thing that I have ever done.”

Asked what he planned to do next the Scots star joked: “Sleep for a month, find out what my life’s like, pay some bills.”

Debbie joked that she might bring out a yoga DVD.

She added: “There’s lots of things bubbling.”
